Childbirth and panic attacks?

ok for about the past few years I have passed out everytime I have been in pain like if I would do something like slam my finger in a door or twist my ankle.Im pregnant and most likely getting an epideral but I think either way im going to have a panic attack has anyone here experienced a panic attack during child birth what typically happens? of course I plan to discuss it with my dr but I would like to know what you think.

I was hyperventilating during the birth of my 1st child, they had to give me oxygen. I think the combination of the pain & the stress caused me tyo panic. The epidural does not eliminate all of the pain, only reduces it. It is still terribley painful, but once th ebaby is born you instantly feel better.
