i’m in college and i wanted to know if i should tell my professors about my panic disorder and anxiety disorder and wear a alert bracelet
should i tell the counseling center at my college)??
i also have a history of seizures too. i’m only 20 and i feel so bad for having this so young. so what do you think i should do about this?
i live in constant fear of my next breakdown, panic attack, and seizure and it keeps me in fear and it makes my anxiety worse especially in class
You might want to see if there is a center for helping disabled students that could help you determine if you should tell your professors. You might need a medic allert bracelet for the seizures. I would allert the counselling center and a doctor at the student health center. They might be able to help you prevent a breakdown.

I’d wear one for the seizures, since the bracelet is only for conditions that require special emergency attention.
I have crippling panic attacks, but I can still tell someone what is going on if they find me freaking out somewhere. Seizures are very different.

Seems to me you should be on some medication.
I am, I take Lexapro ( 2 -10 mgs pills).
It is an anti depressant, but it also approved for Anxiety.
Go see at the lexapro.com web site.
It had truly given me my life back. No more attacks, no more addicting medication.

Are you on any type of medication for these conditions? I have anxiety attacks, my doctor has me taking Xanax and it helps control the attacks and the fear of the attacks. I don’t know much about seizures but it would probably help to talk to a counselor at your school. They can tell you whether or not you should tell your professors.

You will be fine, just realize that it is something that you have. Everybody has problems just because you are going through this it doesn’t mean you can’t be successful, you can and you will as long as you tell yourself that and believe in yourself. A therapist can help you along with these issues

Good idea.
Go to your local drug store pharmacy - ask the druggist’s advice, or ask your Dr’s advice. The medical alert tags/ bracelets are especially for people who are no able to communicate in an emergency situation.
Look at the brochures, and choose a company that keeps your info in an accessible database - so emergency personnel and hospital personnel can access your special needs and history.
At school do consult advice from the counseling center, and advise them of your conditions. They handle these types of disabilities daily, and will have helpful recommendations for you
I have a friend who is has seizures, and yet is able to live and work on her own because she has a working dog ( with the saddle-hand hold) with her everywhere she goes. This dog is wonderful, because he can warn her up to 20 minutes before the next seizure starts.
